Autentico Vintage Chalk Paint: Lavender and Regency White

If you’re looking to revamp your tired looking furniture, or merely redecorating but don’t want to buy all new furniture to compliment your décor, you can completely renovate that coffee table, chest of drawers or bookshelf with chalk paint.  Auntentico’s chalk paint is available in 120 different colours and can really create an eclectic, shabby chic look for your home.

Featuring four colour palettes: ‘The Italians’, ‘The Greys and Earths’, ‘The Whites and Neutrals’ and ‘The Blues and Greens’ , you’re sure to find a hue to fall in love with and that will add the finishing touch to your shabby chic décor.  Here at Eclectic At Home, we love using the Autentico range of paints to create an aged look to our beautiful products.  You can get crafty with almost any piece of furniture or home accessory, such as a picture frame, dining chairs, a mirror – personalise gifts for a truly unique gesture.

Autentico Vintage Chalk Paint: White

Autentico use only natural ingredients and is incredibly easy to use; the chalk texture allows the paint to adhere easily to any furniture without the need for an undercoat or primer.  Prior to application, make sure the surface of you the item you wish to paint is dry and clean.  This unique chalk paint can either be used neat, or diluted with water to develop an enhanced worn effect.  Increase the depth of your colour by applying at least two coats, ensuring that you leave at least 2 hours between re-coats. Painted furniture should be touch-dry within 30 minutes.

Autentico Vintage Chalk Paint: Castle Grey

Sanding your furniture between coats will enhance the shabby chic appearance of the paint.  Alternatively, use a heat source, such as a hairdryer, whilst drying to create a crackled antique surface to your furniture.  Autentico Vintage chalk furniture paint is extremely durable and long-lasting, however to increase its longevity and make your beautiful vintage furniture water repellent, you may wish to finish your furniture with a wax or sealer.

We would love you to send us some pictures of your refurbished furniture so that we can feature it on our Facebook and Pinterest page.  We may love the antique look, but we are down with all the modern Social Network platforms so get in touch with us on Twitter or Google+.
